Kirkland Lodge, a timber built lodge on one level, stands in its own woodland garden and has uninterrupted views of Loch Sween. You can launch small boats and canoes from the foreshore, twenty metres from your door. It sleeps 3 plus a cot in two bedrooms but is particularly recommended for couples looking for a romantic getaway. The front of the lodge faces west so the evening sky can be quite spectacular. Kirkland is a mile and a half south of Seafield so we are not far away if you need us.

Living Room The open plan living room and dining kitchen has a wood lined ceiling up to the apex of the roof which gives it a light and airy feel. The living room has a woodburning stove which is easy to light and provides a lot of heat. Logs and kindling are provided for you free of charge. You can sit on the leather sofa, toasting your toes, enjoying a glass of something warming while watching the ever changing sky and the loch. You might see a deer or a badger crossing the garden or a seal or otter in the loch. For wet days and
darker evenings, there is television, Sky Plus, dvd player and a mini hi-fi cd player with ipod dock. The bookshelves have lots of novels, magazines, reference books, maps and information on the area.

Kitchen Diner The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need for cooking and dining. The cooker is dual fuel with gas hob and electric oven. There is a combination microwave, oven and grill, fridge freezer, food processor, washing machine and dishwasher. The dining table is under a large window so you can watch the loch as you enjoy your meals.

Shower Room Kirkland has a wc, wash hand basin and large shower with glass screen. Toiletries and towels are provided.

Heating In addition to the woodburning stove, there are electric panel heaters in the bedrooms and a fan heater and heated towel rail in the bathroom.
